Landry

Philippe Landry was born in Toulouse on the 23rd of July 1964.

From the age of 7 Philippe began to discover harmonies on a guitar. This early encounter was like a revelation that has marked his entire life journey.  Off the beaten path, his road led to many different and unusual destinations, and along the way he earned his license as a technician in electronics, became a piano tuner and a professional guitarist.

But Philippe's relationship with the guitar remained special all along the way, and his passion for the instrument led to the irresistible idea of making his own guitars.

The development of his love for music led him along many winding and enchanted paths to start building his own guitars at age 25.

Among the fine wood finishes, the delicate adjustments, the conception and realization of guitars, Philippe is in his universe.  After experimenting with different production techniques, an exploration that took him to Canada by way of the Cévennes, Philippe decided on the first of January 2001 to create his own brand: Landry.  From that moment, Philippe began production of a complete range of instruments, designed to satisfy the most demanding guitarists and to raise high the standards of French guitar making.
